With 15 years in the business, Systel is a recognised leader in the design, sale, installation, and service of complete industrial compressed air systems across Asia. The company delivers advanced maintenance technologies to production units, helping them achieve a more refined, optimised, and sustainable operating capability.

The client operates in the industrial services sector and needed a mobile solution to streamline their field operations. Their goal was to bring repair service management online and give their teams, from technicians to coordinators, a single tool to record, track, and manage work efficiently.

The client wanted a hybrid mobile app for both Android and iOS, built for internal use by their employees. The app needed to handle repair service management online and store up-to-date operational data.

The project was structured in two phases. The first focused on giving sales and technical personnel access to record their findings. The second introduced an interface for super admins and project coordinators to manage app functions and control user permissions.

A web interface backed by core PHP was also required to manage internal processes and business data.

Overall, the client was looking for:

  • A hybrid mobile app for Android and iOS for internal employees. 
  • Online repair and service management. 
  • Multi-level login with role-based access.
  • User roles including Super Admin, Project Coordinator, Sales Person, and Technician.
  • Push notifications on task assignment, execution, and completion. 
  • A job timer to track time spent on each task. 
  • Web interface for internal process and data management.
  • Core PHP as the backend base technology.

Our Solution

We developed a Sencha-based hybrid app for both Android and iOS, designed specifically for Systel’s internal teams. The app was built with a multi-level login mechanism that assigned rights and permissions based on the user’s role: Super Admin, Project Coordinator, Salesperson, or Technician.

Push notifications were integrated to alert the relevant user whenever a task was assigned, started, or completed. A job timer was built in to track time spent on each task, triggered automatically when the technician clicks the “start job” button.

A web interface was also developed using core PHP, enabling easy management of the organisation’s internal processes and business data.
